INTRODUCING COACH STEVE ZMUDCZYNSKI
Southeast Surge is proud to announce the appointment of Steve Zmudczynski as our U11 A Coach for the 2025/26 Season
Steve brings with him a significant hockey background, having played five years of Junior hockey in Ontario with both the Guelph Storm (2004 OHL Champion) and Thorold Blackhawks (2005 Sutherland Cup Champion) before heading west and completing his degree while playing for the University of Lethbridge Pronghorns in U-Sport Western Canadian Conference.
After university, Steve jumped right into coaching with the Lethbridge Hurricanes U15 AAA program before moving back to Ontario and picking the game back up competing with the Thorold Athletics in the Canadian Senior AAA league.
For the past number of years, Steve's passion from playing has morphed into developing young athletes and their love for the sport of hockey as both a head coach and a mentor at many different age groups in the minor hockey system
Drawing on his experience, Steve preaches a strong work ethic, teamwork and having fun for all players involved on the ice. Steve takes pride in mentoring young players, helping them reach their potential both on and off the ice.
