Player of the Game: Hudson was a force all night—smart positioning, relentless net pressure, and a key goal to help set the tone.
The Southeast Surge came out with intensity last night in a physical matchup against the Tri-Centre Junior Attack. The first period was a battle of hustle and body contact, with both teams pushing hard but unable to find the back of the net. The scoreboard stayed locked at 0-0 heading into the second. Momentum shifted early in the second period when Kaleb fired a bullet past the goalie to open the scoring. Not long after, Hudson capitalized on his relentless effort and positioning to make it 2-0 for the Surge. Midway through the period, tempers flared and both teams ended up with two players each in the box for offsetting minors. The Surge kept pressing. A determined Surge player drove the puck hard, got a shot off, and was taken down into the boards—leading to a pause in play and a flood. After the break, the Surge returned with fire, taking full advantage of a five-minute major. Curtis and William each found the net, extending the lead to 4-0. But the Junior Attack didn’t back down. With five minutes left, they struck twice, narrowing the gap to 4-2. Despite the late push, the Surge held strong to secure the win.
