🏒 Home Opener Recap: Surge vs. Southwest Admirals
🏒 The Surge hit the ice for their highly anticipated home opener against the Southwest Admirals — a team that had beat us twice in preseason. With a full house and electric energy in the arena, our players were ready to make a statement.

First Period: The puck flew end to end with both teams trading chances and testing each other's goalies. Surge netminder Ryan was dialed in early, juggling and stopping multiple shots to keep the Admirals off the board. The period ended in a scoreless tie, 0-0.

Second Period: Early in the second, the Admirals broke through on a breakaway to take a 1-0 lead. But the Surge responded with grit and focus. After a too many men penalty against the Admirals, we capitalized on the power play — a blast from the point by Luke, tipped in by Levi. We tied it up 1-1 heading into the third.

Third Period: The final frame was a battle. Both teams fired shots, fought for puck possession, and made highlight-reel glove saves. Despite the intensity, neither side could break the deadlock. The game ended in a hard-fought 1-1 tie.

🎖 Player of the Game: Ryan (Goalie) Ryan was a wall in net — juggling pucks, making clutch saves, and keeping the Surge in the game from start to finish. He truly stood on his head and earned every cheer from the crowd.
